Meet Karl

Karl was first introduced to Voice Over early in his 20-year US Navy career while working as a combat photojournalist. Both the Department of Defense and the Navy needed voice talent for military and civilian media relations and he was later sent to the Defense Information School to learn voice and diction, radio and television production and has extensive experience working in front and behind a camera. Later in his career, he was assigned as station manager for American Forces Radio and Television affiliates in Adak, Alaska and McMurdo Station, Antarctica, aboard various Naval ships and also served as Media Relations Officer. A native New Yorker, now living in Kansas City, he credits his early voice training for eliminating his 'Brooklyn-ese' accent.

Recently, Karl's native North American voice has been described as assertive, commanding, deep, dignified, educational, informative, warm and smooth by both Actor Training Studio, Kansas City and Edge Studio, NYC where he has immersed himself in all aspects of voice over education, training and personal coaching since 2010. From his non-union home studio, he's ideal for dry reads, promos, narratives, documentaries, corporate IDs, education and training projects, and copy writing review. He will give your project a reasonable turn-a- round efficiently within your budget.
